The American Hospital became the first hospital in the Middle East to be awarded Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation in May 2000 and it has successfully maintained this significant accreditation seven times.
In addition, the Laboratory Service of the American Hospital was the first to be awarded the College of American Pathologists (CAP) accreditation, which it consistently maintains.
WHY IS JCI ACCREDITATION IMPORTANT?
JCI is a division of the American-based Joint Commission on 认证 of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), which surveys approximately 20,000 establishments internationally every year.

WHY IS CAP ACCREDITATION IMPORTANT?
The American Hospital Medical Laboratory was awarded accreditation by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) in 2001 – the first private lab in the Middle East to receive this important endorsement.
The College of American Pathologists is a medical society serving about 16,000 physician members and the laboratory community throughout the world. The goal of the CAP Laboratory 认证 Program is to improve the quality of clinical laboratory services through professional peer review, education and compliance with established performance standards.
